Player chases another character. New camera viewing moves along with the ship's motion

The Taikodom players who had already improved their skills in the beta version, now have got more reasons to keep logged in. A brand new version of the game has just been released, improving playability, adding up resources and fun pluses.

The spotlight feature is the dynamic camera, or the "chasecam". It is a display mode chasing the player's ship, holding back most sharp turns. Practically, it feels like the camera is chasing your ship, "delaying" its sharp maneuvering and intensifying in-motion feeling.

Inertial flight

The devs have also thought of the folks trying to make a living out there in a spaceship cockpit. The advanced combat system with real inertial flight offers throttle control at "Asteroids" style - classic Atari videogame title. This inertial flight mode allows controlling the throttle during maneuvering. This move changes curve angle, giving more real-like and dynamics to combats. Separation of target and ship rotation, wider rotational range for targeting were also released now.

New keyboard and mouse hotkeys; 3D object selection; 3D radar interactively managed through the mouse scroll wheel - these will certainly please both veterans and beginners.

Economy more real

Dynamic adaptations, realistic and transparent business activities pluses are some of the improvements done in the Taikodom economic system. Now, activities dealt directly with the market (NPCs and AIs for instance) are not as profiting as they were before, making players to dedicate themselves to more traditional economical activities.

A great deal of effort was made to provide an adequate initial balance, and isolate the effect of economic evolution. For this reason, almost all evolution systems such as progression and certificates were temporarily deactivated. On the following versions, progression becomes operational again, but with a new system, much more dynamical.

In order to test in-game economic behavior, it was performed a character base reset - which includes money, ships, items, etc. Active players of the previous version will be granted a prize according to their gaming hours .

Secondary currency

Another innovation is the secondary currency in Taikodom, named "Hoplon" - named after the game developer. It was formerly created to gather affiliations - a resource offering some advantages to the player. This affiliation has a considerably cheap cost, but the next version of the game will bring exclusive items that can be just purchased by using Hoplons.

The new interface for business and trading - previously split into two windows, "market" and "consignation" - merged into one.

Interface

The players who logged in Taikodom after the upgrade were surprised with a completely new and more modern style, result of a "look and feel" rebuilding on the interface, which is now called "Neo". This new visual and interaction pattern also includes a system of windows with a display informing the status, the tutorial and the list of objects and ships depending on the context.

Chatting with NPCs, which previously was only possible inside the stations, now can be done in-flight. Therefore, players gain time, for they don't need to dock in a station to interact with the agents.

Performance

The game has been equipped in this last version with a data compressing system that reduces significantly the size of download between nodes, resulting in faster passages from one portal to another. Bug correction and improvements in the game code were also extensively done.
